Our latest play reading was a great success, as members and friends came together to enjoy Alan Ayckbourn’s Family Album.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, with plenty of laughter (and biscuits!) and a chance to explore another of Ayckbourn’s wonderfully observed comedies. A big thank you to everyone who came along, whether you took on a part or simply enjoyed listening.

Our informal play readings are a great way to try something different, meet fellow theatre enthusiasts and enjoy a play without the pressure of rehearsals or performing on stage. And you certainly don't need to be an experienced actor to join in!

Next Up – Notes from a Small Island

Monday 16 November | 7.30pm | Grange Hall, Radcliffe-on-Trent

For our next reading, we're turning to Notes from a Small Island, the stage adaptation of Bill Bryson's much-loved account of his travels around Britain.

Warm, witty and full of wonderfully eccentric characters, it's an affectionate and often hilarious look at British life and all its peculiarities.

As always, there's no audition, no preparation and no pressure. Just come along, pick up a part if you fancy it, or sit back and enjoy the evening.

Fancy a Theatre Trip? The Full Monty!

Wednesday 28 October | 7.30pm | Farndon Memorial Hall

Before then, we're organising another group theatre outing, this time to see Argent Theatre's production of The Full Monty.

Based on the hugely popular film, this funny and heartwarming comedy follows six unemployed Sheffield steelworkers who come up with a rather unconventional plan to earn some money!

It promises plenty of laughs, some memorable moments and perhaps a little more than you bargained for!

Members are invited to buy their own tickets through TicketSource and we'll arrange to meet up before the performance to enjoy the evening together.
