Synospis This is a fictional account of events in 1961/62 leading up to the arrest of two Americans, Helen & Peter Kroger, who were convicted of spying for the Russians and sentenced to twenty years imprisonment. Bob, Barbara & Julie Jackson live opposite the Krogers, who they believe are Canadians and have become their closest friends. Stewart arrives, announces that he is from MI5 and quietly coerces the Jacksons into allowing their house to be used as a surveillance post. The months that follow turn their decent, happy life into a nightmare as the truth about their much loved friends unfolds. This Two Act play takes place in a suburb of London during the autumn and winter of 1960-61. It is set in the home of Bob & Barbara Jackson and the main events are true.
