About the event
Join us for a Radcliffe Drama Group social trip to the Robin Hood Theatre, Averham, to see The Thrill of Love.
Amanda Whittington’s gripping play tells the story of Ruth Ellis, the last woman to be hanged in Britain. Set against the smoky glamour of 1950s London, it explores the events surrounding the murder of her lover, David Blakely, and the relationships and circumstances that ultimately led to her execution. Dramatic, stylish and thought-provoking, it should give us plenty to talk about afterwards.
Members should book and pay for their own tickets directly with the Robin Hood Theatre, allowing everyone to choose their preferred seats.
The plan is to meet in the theatre bar around 30 minutes before the performance for a drink and a chat before taking our seats. We’ll get together again in the bar during the interval to catch up and share our thoughts on the production.
