Synopsis
The action of this play takes place in the home of
the Stranges. The time is the present. Mr. Dalrymple is a
penny-pinching, cantankerous old devil, who is now ailing fast. He is
cared for by his three granddaughters. Although they have very different
personalities, the three young women are united by their sometimes
oppressive duties toward their grandfather and by their anticipated
inheritance of his estate.
